How to Tell You are Growing Up

"Mom!!!! Guess what? I am growing up!"  Evan called from the dining room. I walked in from the kitchen to see what it was that had made him come to this conclusion.  "See?" he said. "I opened this candy wrapper all by myself!"
Above is a recent picture of Evan with his little sister one morning after they piled around on the bed and giggled for a good twenty minutes.  Sometimes Evan can play a little rough with his sister but he is fiercely protective of her, and shows this by doing things such as holding onto her in parking lots and keeping her away from dogs.
