N'Sink

As you can see, our little munchkin is an N'Sink fan! This picture was taken at her Grandma's house. She had been sitting up on the counter and then she just slipped her way down into the sink and continued to play.
Yesterday she started saying "hi" when she waves (before it was only bye-bye) and she also knows to hold up five fingers for the number five! While we were seeing her Uncle Russ who is finally home from South Carolina, Abby even created a word for him. She tries to say his name but only the first part comes out, so it just sounds like "Ruh."
We just love being constantly amazed by her - what she is learning, her reactions, and seeing her grow right before our very eyes. Our neighbor Charles gave her a little collapsible tunnel and we set it up in her toy room. She would look inside and throw things into the tunnel, but wanted no part of crawling in the tunnel. When Mike demonstrated how to crawl through the tunnel she became very upset and started screaming. She was really scared that something bad was going to happen to him because he had gone in the tunnel. She only calmed down after he backed out and as soon as he did she rushed over to hug him.
A similar thing happened the other day when Uncle "Ruh" tried to get me down to tickle me and I was demanding that he stop. Abby was standing right there and got very upset because she was worried that he was hurting me. So not only are we protective of Abby, at a year and three months she is protective of us!
