Stepping Up

Today Evan climbed up the stairs without holding on to anything. While folding his clothes I get a little sad because his clothes are so big and he is the baby of the family. He has been doing better this week at staying in his big boy bed, although last night was a long night with the thunder and lightning. At bedtime he helps put his cars and trains away and tells them "good night." He can be really sweet sometimes but he definitely has his ornery moments. Right now we are working on teaching him not to throw things or push people (Abby). We are also working with his sister to try to keep her from aggravating her brother! Definitely a challenging parenting issue, one of many to come!

Grandma Walker was able to spend the Mother's Day weekend with us and took this great picture of our family. On Saturday we played outside, visited a historic village, a butterfly house, picked strawberries and had a delicious meal together at home. Mom and Grandma even hit a few garage sales before all of that! A fun weekend - we are very blessed!
