After a wonderful zoo trip, with the most wonderful part being that all three of the kids were super good all day, we opted to stop at our favorite Thai restaurant for dinner before heading home. That is when the smooth part of the day came to a screeching halt, for Brooke anyway. That sweetheart pictured above decided she did not want to be out and about anymore. Nothing Mom or Dad could do would make her happy. We got the check, Dad went for the van, and Mom took Abby, Evan, and a screaming Brooke out of the restaurant as fast as she could. Talk about embarrassing! Other tables were watching our screaming daughter and trying to look sympathetic. One couple said, "Oh, we've been there!"Everyone loaded into the van for a twenty-five minute trip home. The van ride would surely calm this girl, right? No! Talk about a long trip! Once home, we whisked her in the house, pulled her out of the car seat and "Voila" it was as if we had a whole new baby. She started smiling and giggling as if nothing had been bothering her the last thirty minutes. With Brooke, when she has had enough, she lets you know.
