Notes from Earlier Today

- Evan had his car show at school. Hands down he had the most awesome looking vehicle. He wanted to have "Fillmore" the hippie VW bus from the Cars movie as his vehicle and that is just what he got. The whole family helped on this one. By the time the night was over, Fillmore only had two wheels left, talk about the depreciation of vehicles!
- Explained the difference between adoption and kidnapping to the kids.

- Evan found out that Grandma Becky's birthday was coming up and said he really thinks we should get her chicken. Judging by the way he wolfed down his chicken at supper, that would be a wonderful gift in Evan's book.-A common condiment and a common vegetable came together on Abby's plate tonight to make a rather uncommon side dish. Barbecued Peas - ick! She will eat the strangest combinations of foods sometimes and yet complains when you tell her "We are making hamburgers on the grill for supper."

- Made fudge for Abby to take for Show-and-tell. We had to find something that began with the letter "F" since that is the letter of the week. Her teacher this year is great and is even teaching them the alphabet in sign language which makes Mom happy since we have been doing signs at home for quite some time.
- Our youngest appears to be just as stubborn as the other two. She refuses to take the bottle and we keep trying to change factors (temperature of bottle, when we offer it, type of bottle, etc.) to see if we can get her to drink but so far she has just shoved the bottle away and cried. Baby food is going great, however, and she tried harvest vegetables with whole grains today and ate it right up.
