Taking Turns

Warning: Much of a parent's day consists of taking care of little people in the bathroom. This next blog post is about exactly that, and if you are too sensitive for such material, it is wise to stop reading now!
For a while now, Abby has had to "fill out her own paperwork" and her parents have assisted her if she needed help. Well just recently, Miss Abby decided that she cannot "bare" it and yells for Mom and Dad. She has even started yelling when she had only gone pee, saying that it is "much too wet." Mom has been making Abby do the first two swipes and does a "check wipe" to help her out. The other day, Abby refused to do the first two and Mom told her that she would just have to sit there holding her nose until she was ready to do her own wiping, because Mom was only doing check wipes. Our stubborn little girl sat there for quite a while and when Evan walked by the door, she conned him into coming into the bathroom. Minutes later, a very concerned Evan found Mom and said, "Abby says it is my turn to wipe her butt! And I don't want to!" That Abby! This story was too funny not to share.
