Which lullaby does this little girl nod off to at night? "The Ants Go Marching" seems to be her favorite to fall asleep to, although there are nights that we are in that dark room swinging and swaying and can barely make it awake through that song ourselves. Gram had to ask what the lyrics were to that song because it had been a while since she had heard it. The song is actually adapted from the Civil War tune "When Johnny Comes Marching Home." We often make up our own verses for fun instead of using the traditional verses, but here are the traditional verses:The ants go marching one by one. Hoorah! Hoorah!
