What is one of Evan's favorite things to do with his grandpa? Eat pistachios! Every time Grandpa Steve visits, he is sure to ask to sit outside and have this snack along with some together time.
Eating pistachios is a happy time for Evan, but every now and then when Evan is disappointed by something (no candy before supper, for example), he will say he needs to go have his "sad time." Then he trots off to his bedroom and rests on his bed for a while, but comes out a little while later feeling better and ready to play.
