The Homecoming Parade was held on Friday evening, and it was a great night for a parade. It was Abby's first parade and it was filled with some fun movie-themed floats, clowns, bands, old cars, and of course, firetrucks. (But there were no horses!) The sirens were not a big hit with Abby, who is not a fan of loud noises. Some of the bands, cheerleaders, and old car horns also seemed to upset her. So all in all, parades are not really Abby's cup of tea (not yet, anyway).
The best thing about the parade for Abby is that she could see her little friend Makenna with her sister Riley walking in the parade.
Today was also fun for Abby, because she was able to see Makenna again at Makenna's baptism. Besides the baptism, Abby also had her picture taken at Sears. Both before and after the photo shoot she was extremely happy. Not so much during. She instead looked like someone had told her they were discontinuing Sweet Corn Puffs (that means she looked sad). Despite the solemn attitude, we were able to find a few pictures we liked and hopefully will have those back soon.
The above picture was actually taken last week (sorry, no parade footage was available) when Abby found out how much fun it is to remove all of the tissues from the box and shred them.
