The First Skinned Knee

Today was a milestone of sorts in that Abby skinned her knee for the first time. She happened to be pushing our neighbor boy on his bicycle when she lost her footing and he coincidentally had started to pedal at the same time, thus dragging her along behind him (because she, of course, did not let go). Despite the injury, she did not cry, but instead regained her footing and continued to trot along behind him.
For the past couple of weeks, Abby has been working on her utensil skills, and this is definitely going to be a practice makes perfect learning experience and she needs quite a bit more practice. The biggest problem is that she sometimes gets excited with a spoonful of food in her hand, which then goes flying.
Lately she has also taken to styling her own hair, right in the high chair. What she really enjoys is testing different "hair products" to see which ones have lasting hold. Banana, ham, you name it - she will try it. Most of the foods do give her hair a lot of added body.
