This was Abby's "Song of the Day" since her curiousity got the best of her and she sampled a dirt clod out in front of the house. We could not help but laugh when we saw her with dirt all over her face and hands. After that, we cleaned her up and brought her in the house for something a little more appetizing before putting her down for a nap.
Yesterday was her buddy Lili's first birthday party and Abby had a lot of fun playing outside at their house and then later inside with Lili and Corbin (another one of Lili's friends that is Abby's age).
One disturbing incident at the party, however, was when I (Sarah) picked up Lili and gave her a sippy cup and Abby immediately rushed to my side, stuck out her bottom lip, and began to cry in a fit of jealousy. Once Lili was done drinking, I set her down, and Abby - still upset, pushed Lili as if to say, "She is my Mom, get away!"
