Today is Columbus Day and very popular for birthdays, too! Happy Birthday to Grandpa Walker, Uncle Casey, Cousin Tucker, Jake P., plus a new one - our friends Tom and Darcy had their baby, Griffin, today!
This week has been awesome. Abby has played outside every day and she loves every minute. One treacherous part of the outside adventures, however, is the mole that has migrated from our neighbor's yard into our yard. Abby is constantly tripping over his little mole hills.
On one side of our house there is a weird phenomenon. There are pits about two inches deep by one inch wide all over the place. Looks pretty strange. We don't think they are footprints or anything, so we must have had aliens outside the house again. If anyone has any other conclusions, we welcome you to share them!
The sounds coming out of Abby's mouth these days are getting more interesting. It sounds like she is trying to say "cracker" when she sees one and will also try to repeat "good girl" after someone says that to her. Ball, book, and bath are all words she is trying to spit out and they all sound very similar.
Another trait becoming more apparent in her is her temper. When she does not want to do something, for example, get into her car seat, she turns into an inverted "c" shape and begins to whine. It is too early for the Terrible Twos, this must be the Whiny Ones.
In the picture, she has just unloaded a laundry basket and is taking a minute to cuddle with her teddy bear.
