Easy Pray

Every night before we eat dinner, we say a prayer of thanksgiving for our meal and then offer a few other prayers up. At the end, we always ask Abby if she would like to add anything. Of course she does! Some of her petitions make us smile (she's prayed for Santa's reindeer, the Shepherd Boys from the Christmas story, etc.) but usually she is praying for people she knows. It is often her little friends, neighbors, and her relatives. For a while she began to list all of her grandparents, which took a while since there are seven. Finally, Mike shortened this by asking her, "Do you want to pray for all of the grandpas and grandmas?" So now she usually says she wants to pray for "all the grandpas and grandmas" and then has more time to do other things while letting her food cool off.
