The movie Cars is a favorite of Abby and Evan. Ever since watching it on Friday, Abby has been the famous race car Lightning McQueen. The director of this whole show (Abby) has cast her little brother to play the part of Chick Hicks (the mean race car). Hearing Evan say "Chick Hick" is pretty comical. Mom plays the King - the old southern race car nearing retirement, and Dad has the role of Doc Hudson, the really old race car that lives in Radiator Springs. What many people do not know is that there is a race track right in Abby's bedroom. If the racing keeps up much longer there will be a circular hole worn in the carpet of her room! Her bed is the pit - the King likes to crash there, sometimes a little on the dizzy side.
Mom has to smile when she will address Abby only to be corrected: "Mom, my name is Lightning the Queen. I am the famous race car and I am faster than fast! Ka-chow!"
Above, Abby has found a future Halloween costume and would wear it every day if she could. She asked, "Don't I look like a tasty little treat?" Evan does not call it an M&M, he calls it an M-O-M.
