The best thing about being sick in our house is that lounging on the couch watching a movie is perfectly acceptable (we do not watch a lot of television around here, so the kids think it is a treat). Taking one look at this picture will tell that this little guy is not happy - by this point he has been sick for a few days.
Even when he was feeling pretty terrible, he was still in "play" mode. We would ask, "Evan, would you like something to drink?" and he would feebly respond, "I actually Edwards." Edward is a train from the Thomas the Train series he loves, but he calls him Edwards. Our entire family has train names - Abby is Thomas, Mom is Henry, and Dad is Gordon. During a diaper change the other day, he really made Mom laugh by telling her that another train, Duke, had given him some "stinky steam." Dad likes to joke that he is hauling around some bad coal in his tender when he fills his diaper. If we could only convince this train that he should be potty trained!!!
