Brooke looks like she is cheering about something in this picture. Maybe she is cheering about the announcement Abby made: "Now that I'm not going to preschool or swimming lessons, I can be a baby teacher." She was thinking Brooke might need someone to teach her how to crawl. When we brought Brooke home, we figured Evan was the one we would need to worry about most when it came to being gentle with an infant. Turns out, Evan does not bother Brooke much at all and it is Abby that we are constantly watching because she wants to control Brooke's arms, kick her feet for her, rock her - sometimes too fast, etc. When the phrase "expect the unexpected" was coined, was it in reference to parenting?

The Baby Teacher
